How to Pray the Promises

Hi, I'm Julie Hawkes. Welcome to The Laws of Peace, where you will learn how to understand and apply God's laws in simple ways so that you can take small steps to create big miracles and changes and become the person you are always meant to be.

The answers are in the scriptures. Let me show you how to find them. Today's episode is called How to Pray the Promises.

This is the second in our series on The Law of Promises. And The Law of Promises basically states that God keeps his promises all the time, 100% of the time, no exceptions.

And when we understand that, that can help us to be strong enough to have and have faith enough to get through our challenges and trials when the evidence is all around us that things aren't going to work out.

And it can also help us to create miracles in our lives. So let's dive in. I want to start with the story of the Battle of Jericho.

And we're gonna start in Joshua 6 verse two. There's a really important principle here. And th...

What To Do When You Feel Like You Aren't Good Enough

Hi, I'm Julie Hawkes. Welcome to The Laws of Peace, where you will learn how to understand and apply God's laws in simple ways, so that you can take small steps to create big changes and miracles, and become the person you were always meant to be.

The answers are in the scriptures. Let me show you how to find them. Today's episode is called What to Do When You Feel Like You're Not Good Enough.

The law we are working on is called the Law of Divine Identity. And the Law of Divine Identity has a few parts to it. The first part is that we are beloved children of God.

That is our identity. It's not based on how the world sees us or mistakes or anything else, but it's based our worth is based on how God sees us. And it is unchangeable.

Second, when we know and accept who we are, we can act from a place of integrity, living from our core values to create a life of passion, of purpose, and of peace.

And thirdly, we must receive this divine gift and then act according t...

Hi, I'm Julie Hawkes. Welcome to The Laws of Peace, where you will learn how to understand and apply God's laws in simple ways so that you can take small steps to create big changes and miracles, and become the person you are always meant to be.

The answers are in the Scriptures. Let me show you how to find them. Today's episode is called, Miracles Happen When You Dig the Ditches.

It's all about the law of promises. And basically, the law of promises is super simple. It just states, God always keeps his word, 100%, no exceptions.

If he says he's going to do it, he is going to do it. I'd like to start by telling you a story. Years and years ago, my husband lost his job, and we knew he was going to lose his job.

This was 2008, and crazy times for everybody. And we knew a couple of months in advance that he was going to lose his job, and he did. And I was so panicked about it that I even put it on Facebook.

Everybody pray for our family. My husband lost his job. A...

Hi, I am Julie Hawkes. Welcome to The Laws of Peace, where you will learn how to understand and apply God's laws in simple ways, so that you can take small steps to create big miracles and changes, and become the person you were always meant to be.

The answers are in the scriptures. Let me show you how to find them. Today's episode is called The Problem with Gratitude.

And this month, we are focusing on the law of increase. Now remember, all of these laws lead to abundance.

They lead to more, more money, more better health, more connection in our personal relationships, feeling God's love more, and they're so important. And so we want to learn how to access and apply these laws better in our lives.

And this is the law of increase. It states, when you learn to take what you have and build upon it, not with scorn and condemnation, but with praise and gratitude, you are working the law and the law will give the increase.

That is from Raymond Holywell in ...

How to stop worrying

Hi, I'm Julie Hawkes. Welcome to The Laws of Peace, where you will learn how to understand and apply God's laws in simple ways so that you can take small steps to create big changes and miracles and become the person you were always meant to be.

The answers are in the scriptures. Let me show you how to find them. Today's episode is called How to Stop Worrying.

Let's start though by explaining what the law of supply is, because that is the law we're working on this month. Basically, the law of supply is that God is our supply, and he always supplies with everything we need and more.

The law has three parts to it. First, that God is the source of all goodness and resources. Number two, God has unlimited supply and wants to bless us with it.

And number three, the supply will mean you're ever increasing demands. As you grow your capacity to receive, so will the demand, so will the resources that you receive. They'll match whatever your demand have.

 And we'll talk a...

Why God Says It's Okay to Say No

Hi, I'm Julie Hawkes. Welcome to The Laws of Peace, where you will learn how to understand and apply God's laws in simple ways so that you can take small steps to create big changes and miracles and become the person you are always meant to be.

The answers are in the scriptures. Let me show you how to find them. Today's episode is called Why God Says It's Okay to Say No.

We are talking about the law of giving and receiving this month, and it has three parts. The first part states that you cannot give what you do not have. And it sounds so logical, like I cannot give you chocolate if I do not have chocolate.

And yet we give from a place of burnout. We give from a place of being depleted and exhausted and stressed out, and we just give and give and give and give. But why do we do that?

Why don't we say no? I have a few ideas. We may feel guilty when we say no.

We don't want to disappoint or let other people down. People might be angry if we say no. And isn't char...

Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Relationships

Hi, I'm Julie Hawkes. Welcome to The Laws of Peace, where you will learn how to understand and apply God's laws in simple ways so you can take small steps to create big changes and miracles and become the person you are always meant to be.

The answers are in the scriptures. Let me show you how to find them. Today's episode is called Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Relationships.

And I'm going to warn you right up front, this one is going to be controversial. You're going to want to throw tomatoes at my head. That's okay.

And before we begin, I want to bring something up really important. The concepts that we are discussing today do not apply to abusive relationships. In those instances, other action and solutions are required.

Today, I am talking about regular, everyday relationships that sometimes suck. I want to start with telling you a little bit about me and my husband.

We have been married for 33 years, and I am the kind of a person who is a little bit a...

The Secret to Receiving Grace

grace receiving Oct 30, 2025

Welcome to The Laws of Peace, where you will learn how to understand and apply God's laws in simple ways so that you can take small steps to create big changes and miracles and become the person you are always meant to be.

The answers are in the scriptures.

Let me show you how to find them.

Today's episode is called The Secret to Receiving Grace.

This month, we are discussing the law of the divine economy, which basically states that we do our part, we prepare to receive and the Lord gives us grace to do what would be impossible otherwise.

We prepare to receive grace.

And there are three principles that are a part of this law.

The first one we discussed last week, which is faith and taking action.

Today, we'll discuss grace.

And next week, we will discuss the third principle.

So let's dive right in.

We're going to start with the parable of the talents.

This is a famous parable.

Everybody knows it...

How to have more faith, more freedom, and more miracles

faith freedom miracles Oct 16, 2025

Welcome to The Laws of Peace where you will learn how to understand and apply God's laws in simple ways so that you can take small steps to create big changes and miracles and become the person you were always meant to be.

The answers are in the scriptures.

Let me show you how to find them.

Today's episode is called How to Have More Faith, More Freedom, and More Miracles.

This month, we are studying the Law of Sacrifice.

The Law of Sacrifice states that everything has a price and a price must be paid for everything.

Raymond Halliwell, in his book, Working the Law, had this to say about it.

He said, We are sacrificing every day of our lives, whether we want to or not, whether we know it or not.

No matter what we want in life, we will have to give up something in order to get it.

Freedom is not living in obsessed, undisciplined life.

Freedom is being able to control your life and making it what you want it to be.

 An undisciplined lif...

Why You Don't Need Self-Confidence

Welcome to The Laws of Peace, where you will learn how to understand and apply God's laws in simple ways, so that you can take small steps to create big changes and miracles and become the person you were always meant to be.

The answers are in the scriptures.

Today's episode is called Why You Don't Need Self-Confidence, What You Can Get Instead.

It's actually a little bit controversial because it's an idea that maybe you haven't considered.

And it kind of goes against what we're taught in the personal development world.

The information that I am sharing with you today comes primarily from M.

Catherine Thomas in her book, Selected Writings.

She also has a BYU speech called The Doer of Our Deeds.

And when she gave it, even back then, it was controversial.

So you can go check it out to get more information about the things that we're sharing.

I want to get started by telling you first, three main reasons why we don't feel lovable or why we ge...
