Hi, I'm Julie
My back has been hurting for a long time and I have been ignoring it.
Well, I tried some stuff. I got a muscle relaxant from the doctor a few years ago. I went to a chiropractor a year ago and at the beginning of this year I did some physical therapy.
But everyone has back problems and it’s just a part of getting old, right? So I kept ignoring the pain.
Until I couldn’t ignore it anymore. A couple of weeks ago the pain got so bad that I couldn’t even get up at night to go to the bathroom.
Here is the interesting part; when I discussed it with the doctor, he said that many experiences over time caused the issues. It wasn’t just one accident or one injury that was causing all the pain; it had built up over years.
The good news is that I am being treated with the high possibility of complete recovery and complete restoration of my capacity to do all the things I love.
However first I have to rest, heal and go to the doctor and follow his directions.

Grief is Like Back Pain.
Each experience of loss builds on the next. So when you are dealing with loss, you aren’t just dealing with one loss, you are dealing with all of the losses combined, and it’s overwhelming.
Everyone deals with loss. Everyone hurts.
However we just ignore it and hope it goes away.
The pain from each experience of loss builds over time until our capacity shrinks so much it feels impossible to do the simple everyday things.
Grief was only ever meant to be a season.
It’s not meant to define us, or define our lives. It’s supposed to be a temporary opportunity for us to rest and heal.
What you'll come away with:
- As you apply the tools of healing, your capacity to feel joy and happiness will increase.
- Your ability to follow through on plans and goals will increase. Life will feel more rewarding and meaningful.
- You will receive a printed workbook with all the tools either in person or by mail.
There really is a way through grief and you don’t have to keep suffering in silence, hiding your pain, and trying to keep going even though every day feels hard.
While you still may feel occasional sadness, the quality of the sadness will have changed and you will get your capacity back so you can be fully involved in your life and love it again.
First you will need to take time to rest and heal. The investment in yourself will be life-changing!
